The Donau-center at the High-Level Event of JRC
Bratislava, 16.05.2013: the scientific monitoring of the Danube strategy is taking shape. The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission discussed concrete measures with the key stakeholders. Also present were Jürgen Raizner and Sonja Tafuro from Steinbeis Danube Center.
The initiative of the JRC supports cross-disciplinary development of flagship projects of the Danube Strategy. The platform exists since 2011 "Smart Specialisation Platform". Research and innovation strategies of the Danube region will be developed and implemented through this platform, but also coordinated and controlled.
Six flagship cluster were presented:
Danube Land and Soil Nexus (DLSN)
Danube Water Nexus (DWN)
Danube Air Nexus (DAN)
Danube Bioenergy Nexus (DBN)
Danube Reference Data and Service Infrastructure (DRDSI)
Cluster Smart Specialisation in the Danube region
