First Anual Forum EUSDR, Regensburg 27.+28.11.2012

Over 600 visitors attended the first annual forum of the EU Danube Strategy. Information about events the organizers offered on www.danube-region.eu. The enormous participation of the media allowed further insight into the results of the forum. For our Danube center, the Forum was an ideal opportunity for a reunion with numerous partners from the Danube region. Especially the conversations with mayors, whether from the metropolis Bucharest (Sorin Oprescu) or the small Sulina (Aurel Dumitru) at the mouth of the Danube, show us what are the expected impacts of the Danube Strategy. Our special thanks to the delegations from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine and representatives of the European Commission for the constructive discussions.

Bulgaria: After participating in the meeting of the Joint Commission Government of Baden-Württemberg - The Bulgarian Steinbeis Project Manager, Rumjana Hilpert, will be continuing its cooperation talks in Regensburg. Minister Lilyana Pavlova reaffirms the importance of energy and education projects for their country. Steinbeis is involved in a number of these projects.

Special event within the framework of Conference: 5 universities from the Danube region and Steinbeis sign cooperation agreement on the establishment of Danube Transfer Centre.
